Nov. 10- DAR to host Veterans’ program

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The Mary Jackson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will host their annual Veterans Program this Saturday at the First Christian Church’s Fellowship Hall.

“This program is open to all veterans and their families,” said Mary Shear, member of the local DAR organization. “We do this every year to show the veterans how much we appreciate their service to our country.”

The program will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature guest speaker, Major Steve Zetrano, an active duty officer with the Army National Guard. The program will also feature guest singers performing patriotic songs.

Lunch will provided following the program.

“We hope all veterans will come out and enjoy lunch and the program,” Shear added.

For more information, contact Shear at (606) 309-5645.
