Sept. 27 - Trooper Island Golf Scramble


The Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London is hosting the 2013 Trooper Island Golf Scramble on Friday, Sept. 27 at the London Country Club.

This is a four-person scramble with registration starting at 8 a.m. and shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Entry fee is $240 per team and includes green fee, one mulligan, food and drink. All teams are encouraged to pre-register as space is limited to the first 18 teams.

Prizes will be awarded for: first, second, and third places.

Hospice Mystery Dinner Theatre Nov. 16

The Hospice of the Bluegrass is hosting a Mystery Dinner Theatre fundraiser,  “Night at the Museum,” on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Last year, Hospice of the Bluegrass- Corbin staff served nearly 300 terminally ill patients in Clay, Knox, Laurel and Whitley counties.

The event will be held at the Corbin Center. The night’s activities include a buffet dinner and interactive mystery production.

Currently, Hospice is seeking sponsors and collecting items for mystery grab bags.
