April 20- Laurel Lake Cleanup

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The 25th annual Laurel Lake Cleanup is set to take place on Saturday, April 20 at Laurel River Dam, off Ky. 192, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Volunteers will meet at the beach beside Laurel Lake for the event staging area.

Free T-shirts, lunch and door prizes will be provided.  In addition, volunteers may enter items found during the cleanup as the “Catch of the Day” to compete for the most unusual piece of trash found.

Last year, 4,397 pounds of trash was collected.

Registration will begin at the Laurel River Dam beach at 8 a.m.  Volunteers should be registered by 9 a.m. if possible.
