April 12- Candlelight vigil for Child abuse awareness

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A candlelight vigil, sponsored by Laurel County Social Services, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Laurel County Courthouse steps on April 12.

Guest speakers will include members of the faith community, law enforcement, and the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) for the Cumberland Region, among many others.

Tables will be set up with free information about how to detect, report and prevent child abuse as well as how to become a foster parent.
