May 4- Master Gardener Flower Show at London Community Center

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The AMGRO Master Gardener Flower and Garden Show will be one day only this year on Sat., May 4.

The event will be held at the London Community Center and the London-Laurel County Farmers Market, which will open the same day. The market will open at 8 a.m. with vegetable plants for sale. The garden show will open at 10 a.m. and both places will close at 6 p.m.

At the show, master gardeners will be giving out free samples of heirloom bean seeds, instead of tree seedlings, as long as they last, said Bonnie Sigmon, horticulture agent for the Laurel County Extension Service.

Educational demonstrations include insects, bee hives, pollinators, butterflies, and saving energy in the home.

There will be garden art, goat soap, herbs and blueberry plants for sale and a homemaker’s club that will be selling plants for Feltner 4-H Camp and Shriner’s Hospital—Lexington.
