May 18- Cruisin' on Main in downtown London

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Start your engines!  Cruisin’ on Main’s fifth season line-up starts Saturday, May 18, with a “Fabulous 50s” cruise-in theme.

All drivers and spectators are encouraged to dress up in their favored 50s attire.  Downtown London will be peppered with classic cars, vendors and restaurants, and serenaded by music from the good ol’ days.  

The event will also feature special music by local singers, the Ponytails.  Dash plaques will be issued to the first 200 cruisers.

Pickard Chrysler will be the featured sponsor for the month of May.

Cruisin’ on Main is a free, non-judged London Downtown event.  The summer event takes place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.

This summer’s featured car schedule includes:

• May 18 - “Back to the 50s” cruise-in with music by the Ponytails.  Dash plaques for the first 200.

• June 15 - Mustang Month!  Bring out your classic and late model Mustang.  Don Franklin Ford will be the featured sponsor.

• July 20 - Trucks & Tractors

•August 17 - Corvettes will line the street.

• September 24 - The return of the crowd favorite, muscle cars.

Now that school is out, what are your family’s summer vacation plans?

A. No major plans. We will probably hang out around Laurel County.
B. Going to the beach!
C. Kentucky has a lot of wonderful state parks, and we plan to visit a few and enjoy quality family time.
