LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Three of the county’s outstanding Republican party leaders will be the honorees for the 2013 Laurel County Lincoln Dinner.
Dean Johnson, who has served in county government for more than 30 years with 27 of those as Laurel County Clerk, will receive the honor this year for his long-time service on behalf of the Republican Party. Johnson has held many positions in both local and state Republican-affiliated events.
Likewise for the other two honorees — Glen and Billie Chaney. The Chaneys have been active in the local and state Republican Party and have promoted the agenda of the conservative political party during local, state, and national elections.
State Senator and current Speaker of the House Robert Stivers is the guest speaker for the event, set for Monday, May 13 at Hampton Inn North at Exit 41. Also attending the dinner will be representatives from U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Congressman Hal Rogers and U.S. Senator Rand Paul.
