Oct. 5- Hazel Patch Monument Rededication

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

With rededication of the Hazel Patch historical marker set for Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m., at Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park, Kentucky’s early history will be celebrated by re-enactors, state and local officials and direct descendants of Daniel Boone.

Everyone is invited to join the celebration which will be held in the amphitheater at Levi Jackson.  In case of rain, the event will be moved to nearby shelter No. 1. There will be plenty of parking and golf carts available to assist those with mobility issues.

Tours of the actual Hazel Patch on Ky. 490 in Oakley will be offered after the rededication of the marker. A small bus will be available for those who do not wish to drive to the site.
