March 12- Trivia Bee at Jackson Energy

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The 15th annual Trivia Bee will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at its new location, Jackson Energy Community Room on Ky. 229 in London.

Registration is at 6:30 p.m. and the bee starts at 7 p.m.

The Trivia Bee benefits the Laurel County Adult Education and Literacy.

Three-person teams are needed to compete against other local teams to determine who the Masters of Trivia will be in the community.

There will be five categories including Kentucky Festivals, One and Done (one hit wonders or a flash in the pan for sports, music, and so on), Limited Wheels (vehicles with limited production), Famous Commercials (or infamous and their tag lines), and Young Adult Fiction.

Each team has the opportunity to answer 10 questions in each round. Team members collaborate before answering. Each team will write down their answer and the judges will determine if the answer is correct. The team with the most points at the end of the evening will be the winner. The winning team will receive a special trophy to commemorate the victory.

Corporate entrance fee is $250 for the first team and $150 for each additional team from the same company. Private teams or teams from non-profits are $150 each.

Businesses and private persons who do not want to send a team may donate to support Adult Education and Literacy.

Send team name, address, phone contact, team members’ names, and money to Laurel County Adult Education and Literacy, 90 Bennett Circle, London, Ky. 40741. For more information, call 878-9134.
