Barbourville woman stopped for texting while driving

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott arrested Terri N. Carter, 24, of Hooker Branch Road, Barbourville, on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 1:58 p.m. on West Cumberland Gap parkway after observing Carter texting while driving. After conducting a traffic stop on the red Cavalier, Deputy Parrott learned Carter had a DUI suspended license.

Carter was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, second offense; careless driving; no insurance; and other traffic offenses. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
