LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A domestic argument turned violent, landing a man in jail for knocking down his wife and pushing a 4-year-old child.
Ivan L. Reed, 48, of Dean Hundley Road in East Bernstadt now faces two charges of fourth-degree assault from an incident occurring around 9:40 p.m. Thursday.
A press release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office states Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Robbie Grimes went to the residence on Dean Hundley Road, five miles north of London, and found Reed had allegedly knocked his wife down during an argument, then hit her. While that altercation was going on, Reed also allegedly pushed the 4-year-old child down.
Reed was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and was scheduled for an arraignment on the charges in Laurel District Court on Friday.
