LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A routine traffic stop on Ky. 490 resulted in multiple charges against a Laurel man who was wanted on federal parole violations.
The arrest came on Sunday evening around 6 p.m. when Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott conducted the stop at the location about five miles north of London. After running a check of the driver, Parrott learned that 22-year-old Jacob T. Cobb of Line Creek Road in London was driving on a DUI-suspended license and was wanted on a Laurel County bench warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
The check also revealed Cobb was wanted on a federal parole warrant for failing a drug test, absconding which means failure to report for scheduled appointments, and failure to report to his parole officer. He was also charged with several traffic violations and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center where he is held without bond.
