Accused Clay Co. meth maker charged

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

A man already jailed on federal drug charges now faces additional charges from Clay County.

Brian Collett, 37, of 586 Jack’s Creek Road in Oneida, Ky., was served with a bench warrant on Tuesday morning for violation of home incarceration in Clay County. The warrant was served by Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back at 8:51 a.m.

Collett has been held in the Laurel County Detention Center since Jan. 19 on charges of second-degree escape, manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond is allowed in two of the cases listed and he remains incarcerated.
