A London hospital was the site of an arrest after a man violated an active Emergency Protective Order (EPO) and threatened the mother of his child.

The early morning hours on Friday led Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Morris and Sgt. Brett Reeves to Cloud Lane, where they had received a complaint of a domestic dispute. On arrival at the scene, a woman told deputies the father of their child had been at the residence, pushed her to the ground and held her to the floor. During the incident, the man — later identified as 34-year-old Michael Grubb of Cloud Lane in London — allegedly threatened to take the child to Florida where the mother would never see it again. A check on Grubb revealed an active EPO which stated he shall not commit any further acts of violence against the female.

Deputies located Grubb at 2:17 a.m. at Saint Joseph London and arrested him on charges of violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO and fourth-degree assault.
