Quik Stop robber arrested

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The man who allegedly robbed the A&B Quik Stop in northern Laurel County at gunpoint on Wednesday, Dec. 19 turned himself in to the Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Roy Gambrel at the Knox County Jail.

Christopher Disney, 33, of Shady Brook Lane, Gray, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree robbery by Detective Daryl Zanet.

According to a press release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, Disney entered A&B Quik Stop, three miles north of London on Ky. 3434 (near East Bernstadt), around 8:40 p.m. He was carrying a semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the clerk on duty. The man left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Following an investigation, deputies obtained a picture of Disney from surveillance cameras at the scene which aided in identifying him.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
