LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy James Sizemore along with Detective Jason Back responded to a complaint with social services on Gross Road, six miles west of London, on Tuesday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
Janice S. Middleton, 27, of Gross Road, London, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense; fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; cultivating marijuana (more than five plants), first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies found three buckets with marijuana spouts in the residence, along with a meth pipe. In addition, marijuana was located growing in the flower garden. Deputies also found a one-step meth lab in the back yard (within 10 feet of where a child was playing).
Middleton was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. The child was removed from the home by social services. An additional arrest on another person is expected as the investigation continues.
