Manchester man arrested for forged prescriptions at K-Mart

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — On Nov. 1, officers from the London Police Department investigated an attempt to pass a forged prescription at the K-Mart Pharmacy located on Ky. 192 in London.

Pharmacy staff told Officers Greg Turner and Daryl Zanet they had received several prescriptions from the individual in the past.  It was on this occasion they determined the prescription, as well as others, to be forgeries.

Officers located the accused still inside K-Mart.  Billy Davis, 61, of 162 Sugar Creek Road, Manchester, was questioned and arrested for possession of forged prescriptions.

With further investigation and consent of Davis, Officer Shannon Morgan and his K-9 partner, Rolex, found two small bags of methamphetamine inside the vehicle’s front console.

Officers later discovered Federal Agent Robert “Bob” O’Neil was investigating Davis on numerous other drug related charges.

Davis was charged with possession of a forged prescription, first offense; and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Davis was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
