LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Laurel County Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter arrested an individual on Chaney Ridge Road after responding to a complaint that a female subject had broken into a residence, five miles west of London, Friday, May 17 at 4:50 p.m.

Regina L. Napier, 47, of Chaney Ridge Road, London, was charged with second-degree burglary and public intoxication of controlled substances.

Following an investigation, officers determined Napier, who was highly intoxicated on controlled substances, had used a blanket to break out the glass on a front door of her neighbors’ residence, went inside and let two small dogs out of the residence. She told Sgt. Poynter that is why she broke into the home, to let the dogs out.

Napier was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
