Man arrested for indecent exposure

Fails to appear for court

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Imagine looking out your window or front door and seeing a half-naked man standing nearby.

Such was the case on Friday afternoon when Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Robbie Grimes went to an apartment building on American Greeting Card Road, 12 miles south of London.

The call came around 3 p.m. of a half-naked man trying to remove an electric meter from an apartment building. When Grimes arrived at the scene, he saw an elderly man standing outside with his pants pushed down around his knees, and fully exposing himself to people in the area.

Grimes arrested 67-year-old John E. Walker of Corbin Manor Apartments, in southern Laurel County, with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.

Walker was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center following his arrest. Jail records show that he was released early Saturday morning, on an O.R. bond, which is no money paid and the promise that the offender will appear in court on the scheduled date. However, court records indicate Walker did not appear in Laurel District Court on Monday, as scheduled, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
