LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
The strong smell of methamphetamine prompted a call to Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday, with the discovery of components used to make methamphetamine inside an outbuilding.
The remnants of a one-step meth lab were found by Deputy Larry Parrott and Jeff Blunschi around 7 p.m. on Wise Owl Road, eight miles west of London.
The landlord of the property cooperated with deputies in the investigation and, once inside the outbuilding, they found the meth lab and several components used to make methamphetamine.
No arrests were made at the time, but a suspect is being sought in connection with the offense. The investigation is continuing.
