Several more shoplifting arrests made

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Sheriff John Root is reporting several unrelated arrests for shoplifting overnight at Walmart in southern Laurel County.

Arrested by Deputy Tyler Morris on Dec. 2 at 11:17 p.m. was: Patricia A. Hatton, 28, of Green Lake Road, Corbin, who was charged with shoplifting after Walmart’s Loss Prevention Team detained her. When Deputy Morris arrived at Walmart, he was advised the suspect had fled on foot in the store. When located by the deputy, she put up a struggle and fight. Throughout the arrest, she created a disturbance. Hatton was also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication- controlled substances. In addition, checks on Hatton revealed an outstanding Laurel County parole violation warrant, and a Whitley County bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

Arrested by Deputy Tyler Morris on Dec. 3 at 2:36 a.m. at Walmart in southern Laurel County was: Larisa N. Gordon, 25, of Skaggs Branch Road, Williamsburg, who was charged with shoplifting, and public intoxication - controlled substances.

Arrested by Deputy Tyler Morris at 3:06 a.m. at Walmart in southern Laurel County was: Kayla Rodgers, 19, of Brush Harbor Apartments, Williamsburg who was charged with shoplifting.

All were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
