LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Robbie Grimes along with Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter took a 16-year-old male juvenile into custody on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 10:19 p.m. after being dispatched to a complaint of an out of control juvenile on O’Neal Road, five miles west of London.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned the juvenile became angered and pulled a knife on a resident at the home, threatening to kill persons in the home as they slept. The argument reportedly started over a marijuana plant found in the juvenile’s room that an adult resident of the house found and flushed down the toilet.
Deputies summoned a Court Designated Worker (CDW) allowing them to take the juvenile into custody.
