Another shoplifter arrested

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy. Larry Parrott arrested Judy Lawless, 42, of Highmore Road, London, on Saturday, February 8 at 8:45 p.m. at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County.

Lawless was detained by Walmart’s loss prevention team after she was allegedly observed concealing body wash in a personal handbag and a torch underneath her personal handbag. She then proceeded to a checkout cashier and paid for an item but failed to pay for the concealed items. When deputies arrived at the scene they charged her with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. In addition, Lawless was wanted on a Laurel County bench warrant for failure to appear in court. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
