Mother, son arrested for dispute

A mother and her son were jailed following a domestic dispute on East Pittsburg Church Road on Monday night.

The cause of the argument was not known, but Laurel County Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Larry Parrott responded to the scene, three miles east of London, around 8 p.m. An investigation determined both individuals had struck one another during the dispute.

Goldie Bowling, 40, of Manchester and 18-year-old Jackie Bowling of South Mill Street in London, were charged with fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
