LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a stabbing early Tuesday morning after a man sought medical help for his wound.
The man went to Saint Joseph London’s emergency room just before 1 a.m. where they discovered a stab wound to the man’s arm. The man said he had been stabbed during a domestic altercation.
When Deputy Josh Scott and Deputy Shawn Boroviak went to the residence on Ky. 830, 12 miles south of London, they discovered the knife used in the stabbing behind the residence.
Hope M. Philpot Shelton was charged with second-degree assault, domestic violence. She was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
