Walmart shoplifters arrested


Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Morris and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested two individuals Friday, Jan. 17 at 1 a.m. at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County. The two subjects were detained by Walmart’s Loss Prevention Team until deputies arrived at the scene. Erica King, 22, of Meadows Grove Spur, Pineknot, Ky., and Rachel Barnett, 22, of Valley Road, Stearns, Ky., were both arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
