Man arrested for outstanding warrants in four counties

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

A Corbin man who has legal histories in four counties was arrested on Friday night.

Isaac S. Grubbs, 29, of 400 Collins Lane in Corbin, faces numerous charges in Laurel, Bell, Knox and Whitley counties for charges ranging from failing to appear in court to drugs and burglary charges.

Laurel County Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter, along with Deputies Robbie Grimes and Daniel Grigsby, made the arrest around 10:28 p.m. and charged Grubbs with eight outstanding warrants.

Grubbs was served with warrants on the following charges:

Laurel County - failure to appear in court on a DUI charge, failure to appear for operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license

Whitley County - contempt of court; failure to appear in circuit court on theft of firearm and burglary charges

Bell County - operating a motor vehicle under the influence; operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license; operating a motor vehicle under the influence, speeding, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, no insurance

Knox County - non-support, failure to appear in court on prescription of a controlled substance not in the proper container.

Grubbs was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center following his arrest.
