Sally’s Branch Road was the scene of a disturbance that landed a Laurel man in jail for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Laurel Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputies Robbie Grimes and Kevin Berry went to the residence on Sally’s Branch Road, five miles east of London just before 6 p.m. on Friday to answer the call of a disturbance.

However, when they arrived, the man was not present.

But a second call of a disturbance at the same residence turned up the man, who had returned and was screaming at his mother. Leslie W. Foister, 29, of Sally’s Branch Road, had allegedly broken down a door during the argument as well as damaging other items. Deputies determined Foister was also under the influence.

Foister was arrested and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and public intoxication of controlled substances. He was scheduled for a court appearance on Monday and was ordered to serve 180 days in jail.
