Robbery suspect sought

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — London Police officers responded to an alleged armed robbery at Subway on South Main Street Saturday, April 13 at 5:23 p.m.  The restaurant’s panic alarm sounded but the unknown subject fled the scene.

According to London Police Sgt. Richie Reynolds, a male subject entered the restaurant wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, then handed one of the employees a handwritten note demanding money and stating he had a gun.

After taking more than $500 cash, the subject then fled the area.  

 Detective Sgt. Gary Proffitt is investigating the incident.  Assisting at the scene was Officer Jordan Hopkins, Officer Ryan Jackson, Officer Jacob Bormann and Chief Stewart Walker.
