Two arrested for theft, drugs

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Two people were arrested following an investigation by the Kentucky Probation and Parole office and Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy James Sizemore.

The arrests came on Wednesday at 11 a.m. when officers went to a residence on Little Arthur Ridge Road, five miles north of London.

Joshua Doan, 25, of Ky. 1376 in East Bernstadt, was charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance and prescription of a controlled substance not in the proper container. Doan allegedly possessed Hydrocodone pills.

Also arrested was 20-year-old Jessica Myer of Little Arthur Ridge Road in East Bernstadt for theft by unlawful taking after it was discovered she took a cell phone and failed to return it.

Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center following their arrests.
