LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A complete outline of a drug dealing business was just part of the items seized during a drug investigation last week.

But 29-year-old Kristy Johnson of Barbourville Street in London didn’t take time to clear up the evidence when police arrived to question her. Instead, she attempted to run from the police — a plan that was thwarted by Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back and Deputy James Sizemore.

After taking Johnson into custody, Back, Sizemore and Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter found numerous drug-related items inside Johnson’s home - including ledgers listing the prices of pills, who bought them and the price paid. Three and a half Hydrocodone pills laid in plain view, along with a pill crusher and a cut straw.

Johnson was also charged with outstanding bench warrants for failing to appear in Laurel District Court on numerous traffic violations. Johnson was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center following her arrest.
