Corbin man arrested for DUI on Interstate

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Morris along with Deputy Mikey Ashurst, while on routine patrol, observed a vehicle weaving on the roadway, and speeding on I-75 early Saturday, Dec. 21 at 5 a.m., and conducted a traffic stop. Deputies noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages about the driver, and they conducted an investigation determining that the subject was under the influence.

Arrested was: Roy C. Wilson, 46, of Corbin, who was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, no seat belt on, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited, no insurance, speeding, and other traffic offenses. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
