A suspect in an  alleged stabbing in Knox County was apprehended by Laurel County Sheriff’s officials on Sunday afternoon.

The call concerning 27-year-old Jason Carr of Brush Arbor Apartments in Williamsburg came just before 3 p.m. through Laurel Dispatch. Carr was reportedly behind a business on Ky. 770 in southern Laurel County, after he had allegedly stabbed someone in Knox County the day prior.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott was on the scene at the business within two minutes after receiving the call, and located Carr in the passenger seat of a Chevrolet truck. Carr was taken into custody without incident.

Carr had three outstanding bench warrants from Laurel County for first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, and receiving stolen property. He also had four outstanding warrants from Knox County.

The stabbing incident is under investigation by Knox County officials, but Carr was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center after his arrest by Parrott.
