Man arrested for disorderly conduct, assault


Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies Tyler Morris and Mikey Ashurst were investigating a drug complaint at A and B Market, five miles north of London, early Monday, March 10 at 5:30 a.m.

While deputies were there conducting their investigation, a subject there created a disturbance, cursing deputies, then briefly struggling with deputies before being taken into custody.

Arrested was Dewayne Riley, 48, Carson Lane, East Bernstadt, who was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing, resisting arrest, and third-degree assault - victim being a police officer.

Riley was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
