LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Josh Scott presented a "fraudulent credit card use" case to the March term of the Laurel County grand jury regarding his investigation into the theft of a debit card from an 82-year-old female victim from London. Allegedly, her debit card had been stolen from her while in a medical facility in Laurel County in early January and was used extensively to make unauthorized purchases at area businesses.

One business — Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County — made surveillance video available to the sheriff's office and that information, including a picture of suspects leaving Walmart, was given to area TV stations, newspapers and posted on the sheriff's office Facebook page. Numerous tips were received from the public and as a result suspects were developed, and that information was presented to the Laurel County grand jury.

On Friday, March 21, the Laurel County grand jury returned indictments on two suspects identified as: Jody Noland, 39, of Dean Hundley Road, East Bernstadt, and Shannon Boggs, 35, of Dean Oakley Road, London, who were both indicted for "fraudulent use of a credit card."
