Shoplifter arrested at Corbin Walmart

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott arrested Rachel Riggs, 26, of Richland Drive, Lily, on Friday, March 21 at 6:01 p.m.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart’s loss prevention team detained the subject, who was allegedly observed concealing jeans in her purse and leaving the store without paying for the merchandise.

When Deputy Parrott arrived at the scene he charged Riggs with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and lodged her in the Laurel County Detention Center.
