Woman arrested for forged prescriptions

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back arrested April L. Hoskins, 25, of Barbourville Road, London, on drug charges on Thursday, April 3 at 5:48 p.m. on South Stewart Road, 12 miles south of London.

Hoskins was charged with obtaining/or attempting to obtain a controlled substance without a practitioner/patient relationship, and attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud/false forgery.

Following an investigation, Back determined three prescriptions for narcotics had been forged and she was attempting to obtain a fourth one.

She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Assisting in the arrest were Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Kevin Berry.
