Shoplifter caught


Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Parrott arrested a Vickie Blanton, 50, or of Laurel Whitley Road, Corbin, on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5:43 p.m. at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County. Walmart’s loss prevention team had detained Blanton who was allegedly observed concealing clothing items in her purse. She then selected items in the store, paid for those items but failed to pay for the clothing she had concealed in her purse.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they charged her with shoplifting. In addition, Blanton was charged on two Laurel County bench warrants for failure to appear in court, and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

A. No major plans. We will probably hang out around Laurel County.
B. Going to the beach!
C. Kentucky has a lot of wonderful state parks, and we plan to visit a few and enjoy quality family time.
