Man arrested for trespassing

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Mikey Ashurst was dispatched by Laurel 9-1-1 to a complaint of a man trespassing at Pilot Truck Stop early Thursday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 a.m., 10 miles south of London.

Upon arrival, the subject was located, and following an investigation, Deputy Ashurst arrested Rodger W. Ayers, 62, of Corbin charging him with third-degree criminal trespassing, and lodged him in the Laurel County Detention Center.

He also was charged on an outstanding Laurel County bench warrant for third-degree assault — victim police officer — for failure to appear in court.
