LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Family turmoil turned violent Monday, landing a London man in jail for assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Deputy Kevin Berry, Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter and Deputy Steve Hoskins answered the complaint of a physical fight taking place on London Dock Road around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

On arriving at the home, deputies learned 35-year-old Gary Price had assaulted and then choked his father-in-law. They also learned Price’s two minor-age children were present when the fight took place. Price also appeared to be under the influence.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and endangering the welfare of a minor and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
