Man arrested for DUI

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A routine traffic stop sent a Corbin man to jail after he was found to be driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Robbie Grimes arrested 29-year-old Joshua L. Cox of Devil’s Neck Road in Corbin around 9:18 p.m. after Cox allegedly ran a red light on West Cumberland Gap Parkway in southern Laurel County.

When Cox stopped his white Ford Explorer, Grimes determined Cox was under the influence and placed him under arrest. Cox is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, disregarding a traffic control device, and other traffic offenses. He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center after his arrest.
