LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Mikey Ashurst was dispatched to a residence on Philpot Road, five miles west of London, on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10:45 p.m. regarding a male subject creating a disturbance and threatening his mother-in-law.

Michael Williams, 42, of Oneida, Ky. was arrested and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct; giving an officer a false name; and a parole violation warrant.

When Deputy Ashurst and Constable Tim May arrived at the scene, Williams tried to flee out the back door, but was stopped. An investigation was conducted by officers who were allegedly given a false name from Williams. In addition, he told officers he did not know his birth date. Later officers learned Williams was evasive because he had a parole violation.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
