Staff Writer

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies Robbie Grimes and Larry Parrott arrested a male subject on Wise Owl Road on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 4:40 p.m. following a complaint of a man reportedly trespassing on a subject’s property.

Travis Kelly, 32, of Lily was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication; second-degree criminal trespassing; third-degree terroristic threatening; second-degree disorderly conduct; and resisting arrest.

Earlier Tuesday, deputies found Kelly on the property and he had been advised not to return, however, Kelly chose to ignore the deputies and he went back onto the property. When deputies arrived a second time, they observed the subject, obviously intoxicated, trespassing on the property, and creating a disturbance with the property owner and her family. He cursed and struggled with deputies and was arrested.

Kelly was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
