Woman arrested for shoplifting


A Corbin woman who tried to steal items from the Corbin Walmart was arrested on two charges.

Pamela Renee Hatfield, 22, of Corbin, was arrested by Laurel County Sheriff’s Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter at the store after she was detained by loss prevention personnel. Those officers observed Hatfield trying to take unpaid merchandise from the store.

The investigation revealed Hatfield was under the influence and she was arrested on charges of shoplifting and public intoxication. She was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center after her arrest.
