Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Grigsby, along with Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Larry Parrott, and Deputy Tyler Morris were dispatched to a loud music complaint on Ravenwood View Road, two miles west of London, on Monday, Oct. 21 at 9:58 p.m.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located an intoxicated individual in the driver’s seat of a red Jeep. A male subject exited that vehicle cursing deputies, and creating a disturbance that brought neighbors out of their homes. Deputies determined the subject was very intoxicated, and he was arrested. Deputies had to struggle with the subject to get him into the police car for transport.

Arrested was Jesse Carpenter, 55, of  London who was charged with alcohol intoxication; second-degree disorderly conduct; and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

In a later incident Monday, Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Mikey Ashurst was dispatched to a complaint of a man creating a disturbance at a residence on Fisherman’s Cove Road, five miles north of London, at 11:30 p.m.

Jason S. Britton, 36, of Richmond was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication.

When Deputy Ashurst arrived at the scene, he learned from the property owner that Britton was inside the house trying to fight people and was damaging property. The deputy conducted an investigation on the subject determining that he was under the influence.

Britton was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
