Woman escapes home incarceration

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back, along with Deputy Greg Turner, arrested Davan Smith, 34, of Somerset Road, London, on Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m. on Happy Hollow Road, three miles east of London.

 Smith was charged on a Laurel County warrant for second-degree escape.  She allegedly cut off her home incarceration bracelet where she was serving 365 days on a second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense.

Smith was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
