A man high on pills was arrested after hitting his father and violating an Emergency Protective Order against his mother on Wednesday evening.

Jonathon S. Wagers, 32, of Curry Road in London, now faces charges of fourth-degree assault for domestic violence, violation of a Kentucky EPO, and public intoxication of a controlled substance.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies Larry Parrott and Tyler Morris responded to the complaint of a domestic situation on BW Lane, 11 miles east of London, at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. Their investigation revealed Wagers had come to the residence, thus violating an EPO taken out by his mother. While there, Wagers allegedly struck his father in the head with his fists. Wagers was reportedly intoxicated from pills at the time of the incident.

Wagers was arrested and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center following his arrest.
