DUI arrest on River Bend Road

Staff Writer

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Morris responded to a complaint that a Knox County Deputy found an intoxicated individual had ran his vehicle off the roadway on River Bend Road, five miles south of London on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7:46 p.m.

David M. Young, 61, of Green Meadow Dr., London, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and possession of a radio that sends/receives police messages.

When Deputy Morris arrived at the scene, Young was asked to step out of the vehicle, but instead he tried to put the vehicle into gear. Deputies and EMS had to help the individual from his vehicle due to his apparent high level of intoxication.

Young was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Deputy Larry Parrott assisted on the follow up investigation.
