LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Berry, along with Deputies Shawn Boroviak and Shane Rice, were dispatched to a complaint in East Bernstadt on west Ky. 1376, early Saturday, Aug. 24 at about 12:30 a.m.
Kimberly S. Isaacs, 43, of East Bernstadt was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Social Services was called and the child was placed with a relative.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they encountered Isaacs in the roadway, yelling and screaming, and obviously under the influence. It was determined she was the primary caretaker of an 11-year-old child at the residence and was too intoxicated to care for the child.
Two other individuals were arrested at the scene on outstanding bench warrants. They were:
Tara Collier, 23, of Bang Road, East Bernstadt, charged on a failure to appear on a Jackson County bench warrant; and Freddy Scalf, 21, of West Laurel Road, London, charged with three failure to appear warrants in Laurel District Court.
All three were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
