U.S. Marshal arrests three individuals

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Two persons wanted on separate felony warrants were arrested by U.S. Marshal Warrant Task Force Officer Jason Back last week.

Christopher Simpson, 33, address unknown, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of second-degree burglary. Simpson was arrested around 2 p.m. Wednesday and lodged in the Laurel Detention Center.

A man who violated his parole was also arrested on Wednesday regarding drug charges in Whitley County. Charles Gilbert, 30, of Laurel-Whitley Road in Lily was convicted of first-degree possession of a first-degree controlled substance and unlawful possession of a meth precursor, which violated the terms of his parole. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Just the day before, 23-year-old Tommy Franies, of Finley’s Trailer Park in London, had been arrested for a bench warrant in Laurel County. Francis was wanted for second-degree burglary.

Simpson was located at a residence on Kentucky Hollow Road.
